Your paper work
Our sales representative will leave you a copy of the signed contract, please take the time to check all the details including window designs, colour, door designs and openings, if there is anything that you spoke to our sales representative about during his/her visit that has not been listed on the contract please inform us straight away for us to amend these issues as a matter of urgency as any verbal agreements will not form part of the contract.
Once the deposit has been received and cleared it will be registered with QA Assurances
(QA IS AN INSURANCE INTERMEDIARY COMPANY FOR INSURANCE BACKED GUARANTEES & DEPOSIT PROTECTION POLICIES)
You will receive confirmation of this insurance policy usually within 14 days from placing the order, please keep it safe.
Once the installation is complete you will receive another confirmation letter from QA Assurances confirming your insurance backed guarantee this will only come into action if fortress windows were to cease trading, your company guarantee will be given to you along with the invoice and satisfaction note by one of our installation team members on completion of the install.
Balance for the contract is due on completion; the goods remain property of fortress windows (Chester) ltd. Until payment is made in full.
Goods are sold subject to company terms and conditions (please see the reverse of your contract).
Failure to settle the invoice within 5 days of completion may incur an additional administration charge.
You’ve decided to go ahead with your Quotation. And ready for our surveyor to come and measure up. Our surveyor will contact you usually within 7 days of placing your order to arrange a time and date convenient to you between the hours of 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday , this can take a little bit longer than your initial rep appointment because our FENSA- MTC compliant surveyor needs to measure your windows to the nearest millimetre inside and outside the property and determine necessary door thresholds and if any structural supports are required either prior to or during the installation .
These measurements are what we manufacture your windows and doors from. The survey sheet completed at your home is also the exact document that we will check the finished product against before it leaves our warehouse prior to installation and handed to our installation teams on the first day of the install. This makes sure that your bespoke windows are the perfect fit.
My appointment for fitting
Our installation team’s manager will contact you the week prior to the installation to inform you of the programmed time and date of the install unless a date has been specified and agreed prior to this.
Our team will arrive to remove your old windows and doors with care and install your brand new Fortress ones. If there are any windows upstairs we will aim to fit these first, usually working on a schedule of 4 windows per day depending on each individual properties requirements, please note that the majority of work is usually carried out inside the property. Our team will put down sheets to ensure there is no mess and take away everything including your old doors and windows with them.
When the team arrives they will get to work straight away removing your old windows and replacing them with your new energy saving ones. They will never leave you without a window installed and they won’t leave you with any mess either.

Our fitters work in the same team’s everyday which means they know exactly who should be doing what when, them working together regularly allows each to work to their strengths. It’s this approach that allows us to complete jobs quickly and professionally every time
To prepare for your visit the only thing you really need to do is move any vehicles off the drive way and that are near windows we’re replacing and move any furniture away from the windows inside the house. Our team will be more than happy to help with this if you need a hand.
After sales care
On the rare occasions something does go wrong please ring our office on 01244 682110 and you’ll be looked after by our service engineer who was predominantly a fitter to start with, and have a huge amount of experience in solving any issues quickly and efficiently; making sure it’s fixed for good.
You can rest safe in the knowledge that should anything not be quite right, it won’t stay that way for very long.
