Quality Products
At Fortress, we know how important it is to ensure that you’re getting a window that lasts. Fortunately, the Residence Collection offers the best flush casement windows on the market. Not only do they have the appearance of original timber windows, but their chambered design is ultra efficient.
3
Superior Fitting Service
One of the things we’re proudest of is our excellent fitting service. When you read our reviews, you’ll see—we offer a quick installation, with no mess. But you don’t have to sacrifice excellence for expedience. Trust us with your Cheshire home, and we’ll offer you a quality service.
Glazing Options
We always offer double glazing, and you can choose glass thickness in 28mm or 44mm options for your Heritage windows. That way, you improve the thermal efficiency of your home. The 9 chambered design affords U-values as low as 0.8 W/m2K. But you can lower that further with triple glazing. You’ll be hard pressed to find windows that offer better thermal efficiency than Residence.
Joinery
When looking for flush casement windows, you want to confirm that you’re getting the aesthetic you’re after. Residence windows provide mechanical jointed, welded, or a combination of joinery for your next flush casement window. That way, whether you’re in a period home, or a contemporary one, the frames make the statement you want.
Window Profiles
In addition, we offer three different beading styles for your next flush casement window: square, decorative, and staff profiles. You’ll see just how much small touches make up a home, when you choose the profile of your Residence Collection windows. Choose the delicate curve of Decorative profiles or the period look of Staff profiles. See our beading styles in person at our Chester showroom.
Chamber Design
If you choose Heritage windows for your home, you have the added benefit of increased insulation from the window profile itself. These flush casement windows come with 7 or 9 chamber designs, depending on the design. The increased chamber design helps keep draughts out, heat in, reduces noise and increases strength. And you can further choose frame width and mullion width.
Extra Features
Installing Residence Windows means that you get your choice of features. For example, you could choose to include a sash mullion. Splitting a single sash with a sash mullion can look similar to Georgian bars. The Residence Window collection has state of the art hinges and screw retention reinforcements to accommodate the weight of triple glazed units.

The biggest difference between these two Heritage windows by Residence is that the R7 has a 7 chamber design, and the R9 is a 9 chamber design.
While the R9 is the most thermally efficient Heritage window, it’s important to note that most casement windows come with a 3-5 chamber design, and the R7 already beats industry standards.
Residence Collection windows are the premier alternative to timber and are instead made of uPVC.
However, our woodgrain foils create a natural finish to match any home. Look through our colour options to see more.
Over the past 30-50 years, uPVC materials have entered the market, and uPVC windows have often created a small lip around the cill.
A flush casement is a return to traditional window designs that are flush with the rest of the frame.
They’re very popular in heritage homes for this reason, and especially in Conservation areas that have strict requirements regarding building materials.
